Here you will find numerous shops, restaurants, cafes and, if necessary, pharmacies. Enjoy the lovely small town ambience in the heart of Franconia.

Eat & Drink

Regardless of whether you have an appetite for real Franconian food or prefer to go out for Italian or Greek food, after a few minutes’ walk you will be at your destination. We are happy to give you tips on where it tastes best!

Spa gardens

Stroll through the idyllic spa gardens, where the Kneipp facility and the graduation tower beckon as a haven of peace. In the summer months there are regular cure concerts there.

Frankentherme

Numerous facilities await you in the Frankentherme, which has been awarded the German Tourism Prize. The salt lake, for example, is unique in all of Europe. Treat your body and mind to a well-deserved break from everyday life.

Ipsheim

The wine trail in Ipsheim leads you through the “Ipsheimer Burg Hoheneck” vineyard. After the hike, the Ipsheimer Wein- und Häckerstuben in the village below the vineyards will offer you real Franconian specialties. Various vespers, bratwurst with cabbage or Aischgründer carp are the ideal basis for one or the other good bottle of wine. By the way, Ipsheim can be easily reached by train from Bad Windsheim.

With one of the highest brewery densities in Europe, our area has numerous small but fine breweries. Enjoy freshly brewed beer with a Franconian snack. Wine lovers will also get their money’s worth. Excellent wines straight from the winemaker, in original Franconian Häckerstuben – what more could connoisseurs want?
